Paul is a Halifax-based acrylic painter whose creative journey is rooted in resilience, emotion, and reinvention. For over 30 years, he worked as a professional chef in some of the UK’s most prestigious kitchens, training under culinary elites and serving celebrities and royal families. His dedication earned him titles like North Wales Chef of the Year (1995) and Lancashire Country Pub Chef of the Year (2010).

After facing personal losses and medical challenges, Paul stepped away from the culinary world and returned to his first love—art. During the pandemic, painting became a vital outlet for managing mental health. Through bold acrylics and expressive colour, Paul began translating emotion into visual form.

His work explores the language of feeling—each canvas a reflection of inner landscapes, resilience, and healing. In 2024–25, Paul’s art was featured in the Calderdale Art Competition and the Doncaster Art Fair’s “Art As A Response to Mental Health” online exhibition, a global initiative supported by Doncaster Council that celebrates the power of art in mental health awareness.

Paul paints not just to be seen, but to be felt.
